Female Anatomy
The female body differs from males in that a woman's genitals are located both internally and externally, the shape or body contours, and they have enhanced breast development.

Female reproductive system (internal)
The uterus or "womb" pear shaped organ, measuring approximately 3" X 2" X 1" in size, whose function is to prepare its lining every month for a pregnancy. If no pregnancy occurs, the endometrium, or lining of the uterus, is shed during menstruation or monthly period with the resultant bleeding leaving the body from the vagina.
The cervix is the mouth or neck of the womb, which is located at the top of the vagina.
The vagina is the muscular passage from the cervix to the introitus or opening to the vagina within the labia minora. It is a flattened space at rest, and acts as the passage for discharge and menstruation to the outside, as the birth canal during delivery of a child, and as the site for actual penetrative sexual intercourse. When the woman is sexually aroused, lubrication similar to sweat comes from glands within the vaginal walls for more comfort during intercourse.
The fallopian tubes are two elongated tubular structures, one on each side of the uterus. They are hollow and act as the passage for the egg from the ovary to the uterus and also the place where the actual mating of ovum and sperm (fertilization) occurs.
The ovaries are the white, almond-shaped organs that are located on either side of the womb, at the end of the fallopian tubes, and produce one egg each month.

From an external view, the adult female's genitals resemble two sets of "lips," with an the inner set, or labia minora, lying within the larger, outer set, called the labia majora. The labia minora come in all shapes, sizes and colors. Many women often complain about their own labia minora after viewing others that they view as more perfect or pleasing. Rest assured that labia come in all shapes, sizes and colors and some are even longer or protrude more on one side than the other.
The mons pubis or "mound of Venus" is the V-shaped area covered with hair
The labia majora or "greater lips" are the part around the vagina containing two glands (Bartholins )which helps lubrication during intercourse, and totally surround or encompass the labia minora, or smaller lips.
Labia minora or "lesser lips" are the thin hairless ridges at the entrance of the vagina, which joins behind and in front. In front they come together at the top of the vulva to enclose the clitoris. (Looking "down," the labia minora "split" apart immediately below the clitoris.)
The clitoral hood is where the labia minora come together as a "hood" that covers and protects the clitoris.
The clitoris is a small pea-shaped structure at the top, or upper part of the vulva (toward the belly-button). The clitoris plays an important part in sexual excitement in females. During excitement, the clitoris and clitoral shaft, become engorged with blood, expand, enlarge and become "erect."
The urethral orifice or external urinary opening is below the clitoris on the upper wall of the vagina and is the passage for urine
The introitus or opening of the vagina, is separate from the urinary opening and located below the urinary opening.
The hymen is a thin crescent fold of tissue which partially covers the opening of the vagina. It was thought to be proof of virginity as it is broken after the first sexual intercourse. However it is stretchable, and may break due to vigorous exercises, cycling, gymnastics or tampon use. An "intact" hymen is no longer considered to be 100% proof of female virginity.
